Odoo for E-commerce & Multi-Company Retail
I turn separate companies, branch POS terminals, and Shopify storefronts into one Odoo system — so month-end reconciliation stops being a spreadsheet exercise.
The challenge
Multi-company retail groups usually end up running the online store, the branch tills and head-office accounting as three separate systems that someone reconciles by hand at month-end. Products get re-typed per branch, price changes go unaudited, post-dated cheques live in a side spreadsheet instead of the ledger, and a physical stock count turns into a week of Excel before anyone can say what actually shrank. None of that is a limitation of Odoo itself — it's what happens when the multi-company, e-commerce and POS pieces get installed but never actually wired together.

Company-Scoped Shopify Sync
Each Shopify storefront is tied to one legal entity and warehouse, so online orders, stock levels and payments post straight into that company's own books, with a dedicated online-sales profit & loss report you can filter per company. No re-keying between the webstore and head office.
One Product Catalog, Per-Company Visibility
Products are set up once, centrally, then switched on only for the companies that actually sell them, instead of every branch keeping its own duplicate catalog. One shared master data set that still respects which entity sells what.
Post-Dated Cheque Lifecycle Tracking
Post-dated cheques, still a standard B2B payment method in the UAE, move through registered, deposited, returned, bounced and cleared states with the matching journal entries created automatically. Pending and received totals sit on the invoice itself, not a side spreadsheet.
Price-Change Audit Trail
Every edit to a product's selling price is logged automatically with the old price, the new price and a timestamp — a clean, tamper-evident record of who changed pricing and when, across every branch.
Branch-Aware POS Operations
Receipts print the actual branch name instead of a generic header, dine-in and delivery orders run their own token flow, and weight-priced items get an EAN-13 barcode generated automatically from the scale reading. Discounting is permission-gated, with an automatic end-of-shift PDF sales-and-cash report emailed to management for every till.
Stock-Count Variance Reporting
A one-click stocktake export compares system quantity-on-hand against what staff actually counted, values the gap at both cost and retail price, and works out the margin impact per company — turning a shrinkage check from a week in Excel into a report finance already trusts.
