Where I work — and who I work with

Dubai is my base, and it's where most of this work happens in person: requirement workshops, configuration reviews, user training and the go-live week itself. From here I take Odoo projects anywhere in the Emirates — Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the northern emirates included — typically on site for the sessions that genuinely need a room, and remote for build, testing and ongoing support.

The businesses I work with run from SMEs to large enterprises, and their questions are much the same wherever they sit: VAT treatment that will hold up under review, getting ready for the UAE e-invoicing mandate, and multi-company or multi-warehouse structures that have to reconcile at month end. Outside the UAE, engagements run across the wider GCC and in Pakistan, where much of my earlier delivery work was based.

Is my Odoo system ready for UAE e-invoicing?
The UAE's Electronic Invoicing System makes structured e-invoicing mandatory for B2B and B2G transactions — with businesses over AED 50m going live 1 January 2027 and everyone else 1 July 2027. PDFs no longer count as invoices, and compliance depends on your ERP's data quality.
